2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T
The first Ram pickup truck was introduced to the public back in 1981. Since that time, the Ram truck has evolved and grown with its fan base. And today, Ram is known for creating some of the most versatile and durable trucks on the market. One of the most popular light-duty trucks in the lineup is the Ram 1500. For years, the Ram 1500 has been one of the best-selling pickups in Canada. And this year, Ram has just announced that it will be adding a new, impressive G/T package to two of its Ram 1500 models. Here is a look at what you can expect to find on the new 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel G/T and Laramie G/T.
Interior Design
Both the Laramie and the Rebel have a few advanced design features on the interior and exterior. However, the G/T line adds a few unique features to both models that help them stand out even more.
Both the Laramie G/T and the Rebel G/t are offered in a Crew Cab Configuration. The Crew Cab provides two rows of spacious seating and allows up to five passengers to comfortably sit in the front and back seat. The interior is also adorned in premium materials and features intricate stitching and bold G/T badging.
There are several other advanced features that were reserved only for the TRX trim in the past. For example, the Rebel G/T and the Laramie G/T both feature convenient paddle shifters and there is also an additional performance shifter mounted to the centre console. To enhance the interior even further, the G/T models also offer a metal pedal kit that helps to give the interior a more stunningly rugged appearance.
Exterior Design
The Ram 1500 Rebel G/T and the Laramie G/T also feature a few unique exterior features that help to give it a sportier appearance. For instance, the G/T models feature a muscular sports performance hood that features cold-air intakes that help to ensure that the motor does not get too hot. There is also a cat-back exhaust that comes standard as well as bold G/T badging.
Power and Performance
The Ram 1500 G/T models will come standard with a 5.7-litre V8 engine that comes with Ram's innovative eTorque system and mild-hybrid assist. The mild-hybrid system uses a powerful electric motor to provide an impressive amount of torque to the tires. The eTorque system also adds 90 lb.-ft of torque to this already impressive engine.
