Ram changed things up a bit for 2020, making the 305-horsepower 3.6-litre eTorque Pentastar V6 engine standard on all trims, with an optional 5.7L HEMI V8 available to all, as well. Every new Ram 1500 comes linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Two-wheel-drive also comes standard, with 4x4 drivetrains available on all models. Rebel and Laramie Longhorn editions come exclusively in Crew Cab setups. At the same time, other trims offer both Crew and Quad Cab configurations.
Entertainment, Comfort, and Technology Features
Rugged on the outside, loaded with comfort and convenience on the inside. Every new Ram 1500 comes with Electronic Range Select, one-touch up/down driver's and front passenger's windows, and Keyless Go (push-button start). Electronic Range Select lets drivers limit the highest available gear when in drive. Laramie trims and above get dual-zone automatic climate control. Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited owners enjoy leather upholstery. Other standard or available creature comforts include heated and ventilated outboard seating positions, an eight-way power driver seat, an eight-way power passenger seat, and a heated steering wheel.
Regardless of trim, all Ram 1500 trucks come well equipped in the audio department thanks to Ram's Uconnect 3 and U Connect 4 infotainment systems. Base Tradesman, Big Horn, and Rebel models come equipped with an AM/FM, six-speaker stereo sound and a 12.7-cm colour touchscreen.
Along with controlling the Ram's sound system, the Uconnect System also manages a variety of personalized vehicle settings. Using the UConnect app and a compatible cell phone, owners can remotely start their vehicle, lock or unlock its doors, and even set the climate controls. The Uconnect system also features seamless Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and music streaming, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Other notable standard or available tech features found on the new Ram 1500 include integrated voice command recognition, a 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot with a one-gigabyte three-month trial, and Siri Eyes Free.

Trailer sway damping combined with Hill Start Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path, and Trailer Detection make towing a breeze. Parking the new Ram 1500 comes easy thanks to a standard ParkView rear back-Up camera with centre and dynamic gridlines, and Parksense Front and Rear Park Assist, which features automatic stopping if the Ram gets too close to the vehicle behind.
